This apartment is ideal for a vacation rental or bed and breakfast as it is literally 100 yards from the Ocean with panoramic views of the Caribbean from the lounge and bedrooms. It occupies the entire first floor facing the ocean of a low-rise building in Miramar, Havana's premiere coastal neighborhood.  Recently completely renovated with polished granite floors and upgrades to the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms, the apartment provides a family friendly atmosphere as well as a perfect romantic getaway for couples.

A full breakfast of fresh seasonal fruit, eggs, ham, cheese, juice, toast & coffee is available.  Check-in is at 3:00pm and Check-out at 11:00am

The Space

The apartment is centrally located in Miramar, one of Havana's premier leafy suburbs that is safe at all hours of the day and night. It is within a short distance to hotels, restaurants and clubs, a 5-10 minute drive to Havana Vieja (Old Havana) and 25 min to Playa Santa Maria (Santa Maria Beach). You can snorkel in the morning right in front of the condo and sip a mojito from the veranda while watching the sunset over the sea in the afternoon.

Interaction with guests

The condo is being rented as a complete and private home. It comes with the use of a local cell phone and landline, and if desired, it's own caretakers - Maria & Cesar, my aunt & uncle - as well as a covered secure parking space. Maria & Cesar are available to clean, prepare and serve breakfast, change and wash towels and bedding, assist with grocery shopping, make recommendations and help with transportation. If complete privacy is preferred, Maria and Cesar will only conduct check-in & check-out and otherwise will not show up at the home.

Other things to note

The coastline adjacent to all of Havana including Old Havana, Vedado or Miramar is rocky. However, there are many "playitas" (small beaches) where access to the water is very easy and swimming in clear Caribbean water is superb. One of those beaches - "Playita 16" - happens to be right in front of the condo. Remember to bring your water shoes to navigate the steps leading into the sea. The nearest sandy beach is Playa Santa Maria that is about a 20 min taxi ride outside of Havana.
In the condo, you will also find recent travel guides for Cuba and Havana that you are free to use throughout your stay.

Guest access

Check-in time is at 3:00pm and check-out at 11:00am. Please make contact with us prior to arrival in order to arrange a time for check-in. Maria & Cesar will wait for guests late arrival from the airport up until any hour as long as host has been informed of guest's expected arrival time. Maria & Cesar will remain in the condo waiting for guests until 11:00pm if guest have not informed host of approximate arrival time.
